Joseph M. Lorant was born in San Luis Obispo, California. He attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies and a Minor in Biology. Joseph continued his education at Southwestern Law School where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2019. He was admitted to practice law in the State of California in 2019.
During law school, Joseph was a Cali Award and Witkin Award recipient, and received an Honorable Mention during Southwestern Law School’s Intramural Moot Court Competition. He also served as Senior Editor for the Southwestern Journal of International Law and had his article published. Joseph jointly attended classes at the Claremont Colleges Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences and worked as an intern for Efyian, Inc., a biotechnology start-up company founded by a professor of the Keck Graduate Institute. Joseph received his Certificate in Bioscience Law and Practice in 2018.
Joseph and his fiancée Esther reside in Montclair, California, with their French bulldog, Lily. In his free time, Joseph enjoys reading, golfing, going to the beach, wine tasting, and traveling.
