Thomas C. Swann was born in Huntington Beach, California and has remained in California since birth. He graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies in 1998. He is married to fellow attorney, Jennifer, and they are the parents of one boy and one girl. While at Long Beach, Tom was a member of the Speech and Debate Team, and was an octo-finalist in the 1997 Pacific Southwest Forensics Fall Championships in Parliamentary Debate. In addition, Tom delivered a lecture for faculty and students on the use of generic pronouns and their affect on speaker credibility.

In 2003, Tom graduated from Whittier College School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree. While at law school, Tom competed in the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy competition and worked full-time as a financial analyst for Washington Mutual Bank. He was admitted to practice law in the State of California in December 2003.

In addition to specializing in Elder Abuse and Medical Malpractice, Tom has expanded his employment law practice having successfully defended clients in wrongful termination, retaliation, whistle-blower, discrimination, and harassment claims. Tom has also provided guidance to clients desiring advice on employee handbook revisions, FMLA claims, severance packages and employee discipline.

Before joining Giovanniello Law Group, Tom served as Employment Counsel for two government agencies in the Coachella Valley. Additionally, he taught traffic school in the Orange County area. Tom has also provided MCLE instruction on the Peer Review and Quality Assurance Privileges.
